The Handstand Ramp by AbMat is comprised of two sections (stairs and ramp) that are joined together by 3” of Velcro® to keep the sections together. This lightweight ramp is comprised of a dual-density foam system providing maximum stability and comfort for athletes. The top of the ramp uses nonskid material for added grip. The ramp can be easily moved and stored and takes under a minute to set up.
The AbMat team designed and built the Handstand Ramp over two years ago but never launched the product. This is until we heard the story of Josh Mattes…
Josh is a CrossFit Games Athlete (Team) who was on his way to a Games appearance in 2023. While training for the Games Josh fell when performing a handstand ramp obstacle and severely injured his face in the process. This injury proved to be a major setback for himself and his team and disqualified them for the Games.
The AbMat team reached out to Josh for permission to use his story to raise awareness about the dangers of wooden boxes and provide a safer alternative, i.e. a foam handstand ramp. Josh generously provided his time and talent to model the product and serves as our spokesperson today.
The ramp is proudly made in St. Louis, MO at the AbMat factory.
