Our Set of 6, 8mm interlocking tiles comes with edge pieces in each package and are precision manufactured in the USA to the highest standards using high quality recycled materials and quality control. With exceptional anti-slip and shock-absorbing qualities, these tiles have been effectively utilized in various environments, including home gyms for heavy deadlifting and dropping from overhead, commercial weight rooms, kennels, basements, and more. SIZE & DIMENSION

• SET OF 6 MEASUREMENTS:  Comes with 6 pieces of tile flooring including edge pieces for straight edges on each piece all made in America.  Each piece measures 18 inches by 18 inches. This is from the outside of the "tooth" to another "tooth". If the straight edges are in on both sides, the length in inches is 19 inches, end to end. The edge pieces add .5 inches on the edges. To determine the total length of any combo, multiply the number of tiles by 18 and then add 0.5 inches for each ege.
  

• On a per tile basis, this is $11.66 (Grey) per tile or $10.83 (Black) per tile with no additional cost for shipping. We include shipping in our price, so you’ll never be surprised by extra fees at checkout. What you see is what you pay.

• SQFT: The six pieces laid out together measure 14.3 Square Feet which is ideal for a space under a treadmill or bike. Use our flooring calculator to determine how much you need!

• THICKNESS: Durable 8mm thickness which is ideal for home or commercial gyms (0.31 inches). These are suitable for heavy deadlifting and dropping from overhead.

Maintenance and Floor Care:

These tiles are resistant to mold and mildew growth.Taking care of your rubber tiles is simple due to their robust and easy-to-clean surface. Here are some tips to keep your gym flooring in excellent condition:

• Regularly vacuum the surface to remove loose debris, crumbs, or dust.

• Occasionally, mop the tiles with a mild soap and water solution. We suggest using dish detergent.

• Important: Avoid solvent or oil-based cleaners

Installation:

Installing these interlocking tiles is straightforward and typically completed by the customer. Because these mats are not as large as some, they are much easier to move around get in the right place. Here's a general guide for installation:

1. Begin by cleaning your subfloor, ensuring it's free of dirt, grease, or debris.

2. Start in one corner of the room with a corner tile, then add border tiles outward along the adjacent walls.

3. Leave the other two edges of the room open and continue filling in the space, placing center, corner, and border tiles as needed.

4. Once the open floor area is covered, return to the opposite walls and cut in tiles to fit. It's advisable to leave a small gap along the walls, approximately the thickness of the tiles, to allow for expansion and contraction due to temperature changes.

Note: Adhesives are generally not necessary when assembling interlocking tiles, as the product's weight usually prevents movement. However, if you encounter any sliding and want to secure the tiles further, you can use double-sided tape or mat tape around the installation's perimeter.

FAQ:

If my room doesn't fit exactly into the parameters of the tiles, how do I ensure there are no empty spaces?

This is incredibly common because as you can imagine there is no uniform room size. We recommend a couple of things: 1) Use our flooring calculator (linked above) to get the recommendation. You can always order more if you need to after you determine how the room looks and feels 2) Your options would either then be to have some non-covered portion (this is most likely fairly small) or order extra (the calculator can account for this) and then cut the pieces on the ends with an exacto knife to make it fit perfectly. We are glad to walk through that math with you.
